COVID-19

Mountain View Family Medicine is taking precautions to keep our patients safe during this COVID-19 pandemic.

Because it is a very common question we want you to know that at this time we are NOT giving the COVID vaccine.

We are following OSHA guidelines and wearing masks for all in-office appointments. We also require that all patients wear a face mask or a face covering for the entire time they are in the office building.

We are encouraging regular adult and pediatric well visits, as well as medication follow ups, etc. However, if you have developed symptoms such as fever, cough, runny nose, shortness of breath or a headache since scheduling your appointment, please call us to discuss your symptoms and we will decide what to do next. This may include rescheduling, a back door visit or a telehealth (virtual) visit.

Most sick visits will NOT enter the reception area. Please call fro the lobby or when you get off the elevator and we will have you enter the office through the back door. MASKS should be worn by the patient/parent and our staff will have protective wear. We now have HEPA filters in our sick rooms that clean the air in a short period of time. We also thoroughly clean our exam rooms between visits.

We also ask that patients come to appointments alone if possible. If your child has a visit, and you have other children, please try to make other arrangements to have them stay home. We think that this lowers the chances that someone is sick, doesn't know it, and exposes others.

If you are needed a COVID-19 test, we are able to do them on select patients. The results on a test are typically back in 24-48 hours.  It is your best bet to schedule a test yourself. They are available at UCHealth Lab locations (Harmony and Snow Mesa). Order and schedule your COVID-19 test through your My Health Connection patient portal Also, testing is available for now at www.larimer.org and www.saludclinic.org.

Please understand that things change often so please call us if you have any questions.
